Okay I know that this isn't about real life MMA but it's something that I think that most people who enjoy MMA, MMORPG or just games in general will enjoy. MMArmy is a browser based text game that's free to play with a basic account with a one-time fee of $20 for a premium account. You (the player) take on the role of being in charge of a camp of fighters. You'll train them, get contracts for them and finally send them out to fight in one of the 20+ promotions. The fighter will earn cash for you to buy better equipment, buy the fighters better outfits, and the ability to recruit more fighters.
The addictive text based game is a wonderful diversion while you wait for the next UFC,Strike or Affliction MMA event. I've been playing it for about six moths now and the thing I like the most about is the rolling liner game time. Fighters get older and eventually retire so you don't have the same super-fighters on top all the time. There are two game resets a day 6am and 6pm (real time) which equals two months of game time. Your fighters can only fight once a month.
If you go with a premium membership you can change the physical appearance of you fighter (before their first fight) For your camp you can choose a avatar that becomes synonymous with your camp name. Special fighter attiere becomes available to make your fighter look snazzier than the rest. Also the only way to get your fighter some ink is with a premium membership.
Well enough of me talking about them go see for yourself at www.MMArmy.com
